New tricks

Carter did two new tricks today!

He found his toes...

He also held his own bottle!

Family week!

This past week has been all about family! We started it with celebrating Father's Day at my parents. Mid week I took the boys to my grandparent's. Last night we made a trip to Arlington to visit Joseph's side (his aunt and uncle, grandmother, cousins and 2nd cousins). This was their first time to meet Carter.

Connor had the best time of all! He played with the girls all evening in their game room and then swimming in the pool.

They even got him to jump off the diving board for the first time. He would only do it if Dale would help catch him on the float though.

A day at my Grandparents

I took the boys to my Mom's parents yesterday. They hadn't seen the boys since Carter was just a few weeks old. It was a great day had by all.

Connor always loves exploring their yard and looking at my grandmother's wonderful organic garden.

A day at my grandparents would not be complete without some entertainment from Connor.

Father's Day

I am a little behind on posting this, but we have been really busy enjoying the summer. For Father's Day we enjoyed a lazy afternoon at my parents house cooking hamburgers & hot dogs on the grill, relaxing in their hot tub and enjoying some family time.

Helping GrandDanny open his gifts.

My parents bought Connor some arm floats so he doesn't go under water in the hot tub (even though he can stand). It makes him feel safe and they sure are cute on him.

We think Connor is going to be the class clown b/c he is always ready with a silly face to entertain us all.

Mmmm, rice cereal!

We got the go from the Dr. to give Carter rice cereal. This is a bittersweet moment b/c on one side we are excited for him to start solids and are hoping it spaces out his nursing times so Emily gets a little break. But on the other end, it means Carter is growing up.
He was a little puzzled when we first started spooning it in. Most of the cereal ended up on his bib but overall it was a success! We let Connor help after Carter was starting to get the hang of it. Connor is such an awesome big brother!

Do you think Carter was trying to tell us something?!?!

He was really concentrating on the spoon.

All done!
