Carter Amos Hudson

Carter has arrived! After an unplanned (but we thank God we did it) c-section, our baby boy #2 is here weighing in at 8lbs 14oz and was 20 1/2 inch. long. He almost matched his older brother who was 9lbs 4 oz and 21 inch. Yes, I make big babies and we even took Carter a week early.

Mommy is recovering as well as she can and Carter is just perfect! Nursing is going great and we feel very blessed to have 2 adorable little boys now. Connor was very excited to meet his baby brother and kept telling us how little he was. We will be discharged Sunday morning and are looking forward to experiencing what the future holds for our wonderful family of 4. We know Connor is going to be an awesome big brother and Carter is going to have a great time looking up to him.

The nursery is ready!

We are ready! Connor was moved upstairs in August to his big boy room complete with a fire engine bed and my Mom and I have spent the last month doing the final touches to the nursery for Carter.
We didn't have to do much since we are having another boy but we wanted to do something to make it a little different so my Mom painted dragonflies on the walls. She also made Carter his own comforter for the bed. It is very close to what Connor has (which is now his blankie) but there are enough differences to make it his.

The start of a blog

With the arrival of baby boy #2 I thought it was time to get with it and make a blog! We were informed this morning that my Dr. has decided to proceed with setting an induction date. Carter will be arriving Thurs. January 29th! We are excited to have an end close in sight and can't wait to see if he looks like his brother.
